Alchemic Yoga

Alchemic Yoga

In Alchemic Yoga we use the cycle of the seasons and their relationship to the ‘Nourishing Cycle of the Five Elements’. We also use the location in the body and relative interactions of the ‘Three Alchemic Essences’ to gain optimum health for our body, soul and spirit.

Three of the oldest of these traditions are the Gypsy Tantric, the Celtic Alchemic Elemental States, each with it’s Archangel, and the Aboriginal levels of Bulima traditions.

Alchemic Yoga Centre

The Alchemic Yoga Centre provides a large comfortable space in a beautiful bush setting that allows us to practice in any weather.

We run workshop retreats every 3 months up to the full moon closest to the solstices or equinoxes.

Spring Retreats works the chakras or centres of power from bottom to the top. One chakra a day for seven days .
Summer Retreats works with clearing, nourishing and tonify the five element states and the healing practices associated with them and ‘Release Technique’.
Autumn Retreats works the chakras or centres of power from the top to the bottom. One chakra a day for seven days.
Winter Retreats works with the internal fires and the Five Elements. A Different element yoga each day.

Location & Address: 286 Silo Road, Kundabung, NSW 2440, Australia.

SALUTE TO THE SUN

When we do the seasonal asana sequences we always use the Gypsy Tantric traditional sequential formula.

This means that we do;
standing (for Alcohols, the physical vehicle for Spirit),
triangular (for Oils, the physical vehicle – Hormones – for Soul),
and
kneeling ( for refining the sexual and DNA patterns, the physical vehicles for the Body),
for each of the three sides of the body.
RIGHT, the Alkaline side – to soften and clear the system.
MIDDLE, the Oils- to lubricate and broaden the genetic base for the system.

LEFT, the Acid side – to tone and strengthen.

Internal Power & Control

The Asana are designed to lead you into using your INTERNAL muscles rather than your SKELETAL muscles.

This is because your ductless glands and therefore your hormones are able to be accessed by these internal muscles.

The Oldest Traditions

The first of the oldest traditions of spiritual development that I have come to know is the Gypsy Tantric Yoga tradition, which was what my first yoga teacher taught me. He said that the tradition went back to the first Medicine Buddha, which according to him was before the last ice age, about 24,000 years ago.

The second of the ancient traditions that I have learnt is the Australian Aboriginal Tradition .. that is, the levels of Bulima, the Dreaming, and their associated dreaming beings. This tradition also goes back to before the last ice age.

Then I met and learnt from my Celtic teachers about the “Ladder of Archangels”, that also dates back to around 24,00 years ago.

For us, the Yoga and Chakra Mandala are our bridge between our physical bodies and our immortal Spirit, that is, our individual evolving Soul.

The levels of Bulima are our connection to the land, so we use the Aboriginal traditions to connect to the land which we come from, and owe our lives to.

The Archangels are our link to Spirit.
